This is a lesson based on helping the children in Y6 to skim and scan. There is a fully detailed power-point which includes many different activities for the children to complete as the lesson progresses. There is also an initial activity, where children race against each other to find words around a certain theme. I have used the 2014 SATs paper and cut the different skim and scan questions out for the children’s independent tasks.
