A 13-slide PowerPoint presentation which starts with a Do Now activity covering German topics covered so far. It starts with a short “hook” video about “Sommerrodeln” and asks students to form their opinion on it. There is then a match-up activity for adventure sports, like mountain biking, white water rafting, canoing etc. There is then a short explanation of the word “man” and “Man kann…” is introduced. Students are asked to form sentences using “man kann”. The four seasons are then introduced and students are asked to put these into more “man kann” sentences. It ends with a creative piece of work, in which students are invited to make a brochure for an adventure centre to practise the “man kann” sentences with adventure sports, plus their opinions.
