Year 1 Jack and the Beanstalk English Unit (2 Weeks) With Resources

This is a detailed two week English unit based upon the famous traditional tale, Jack and the Beanstalk. Starting with opportunities for speaking and listening, moving into character exploration and then into planning and writing their own version of this famous traditional story. This unit is designed for Year 1 pupils but could be simplified for use within the Early Years, preferably towards the latter half of Reception when the children’s writing skills are off the ground. Included are the additional resources that you will need. This planning is of course editable so that you can match it to the needs of your pupils and will work alongside whichever version of the story that you choose to use. Enjoy.
