Year 3 Perimeter Unit (5 lessons)

A fully resourced five lesson sequence on being able to work with perimeter in Year 3.

Included is a double lesson that focuses on being able to measure perimeter. This includes:
A fully-resourced double lesson aimed at the Year 3 objective based on being able to measure shapes to then calculate the perimeter. To ensure consistency of measurement when printing, this is done with ruler images provided that children then need to read.

Included is a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, modelling and discussion as well as guided practice. This then moves on to independent activities and challenge questions, with answers included for these.

This is then followed up by three lessons that focus on being able to calculate the perimeter of shapes. This includes:
A fully-resourced triple lesson aimed at the Year 3 objective based on being able to calculate the perimeter of shapes.

Included is a single lesson PowerPoint followed by a double lesson PowerPoint. Each PowerPoint includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, modelling and discussion as well as guided practice. This then moves on to independent activities and challenge questions, with answers included for these.
