Year 5/6 Persuasive writing unit

This 4-5 week unit of persuasive writing is based around the book ‘The Curse of the Maya.’ It links perfectly with the Ancient Maya Civilisation topic. It includes 4-5 weeks of writing planning based around the book and the children eventually write a leaflet to persuade people to visit Guatemala and a persuasive letter to the British government. The planning includes grammar, spellings, teaching and outcome which is differentiated as needed for greater depth and SEND children. It also includes all of the resources I have made myself.
