This scheme is centered around social justice and includes a range of poems from diverse writers. It explores a range of social justice issues including racism, homophobia, and transphobia. It is designed to run over a half term.
The scheme focuses mostly on their ability to analyse poems and poetic techniques. There are some comparative skills woven in as well.
Note: There are two songs as opposed to poems embedded into this scheme of learning but are analysed as though they are poems.
