But, it could be used for GCSE lessons. This lesson is part of a 2-part lesson focusing on Google Sketch-Up. Lesson 1 focuses on advantages and disadvantages and the tools used. To get students warmed up and ready to learn... they should copy the dog! The lesson starts of by students guessing what the lesson is on... by a game of hangman - clues included! Lesson objectives and success criteria included - colour coded and includes G&T! Range of tasks, including; paired thinking activities, class debate on advantages and disadvantages of using Google sketch-up (help sheet provided). It is a full lesson on the topic of Place, within the marketing. With the lesson focusing on the 'effectiveness of place in business. Included is lesson starters, task and plenaries. Key content that should be learnt; key words, distribution channels and factors affecting place. In each slide is a set task designed to help students apply their knowledge to the theory task. They also allow them to practise for exams by applying knowledge and understanding. As well as the tasks, students should write down the relevant information, that they feel will be useful for when revising. At the end is a video, summarising the lesson content and a worksheet that students should fill, giving you a chance to see what they have learnt - Exam Practise! It includes, exam questions, definitions and explaining a concept through diagrams. This could be used a worksheet, knowledge test or lesson summary. It is a revision guide for case studies of earthquakes; Haiti and Christchurch. It is a good tool to help students create any revision resources, i.e. mind-maps and cue cards etc. The case studies themselves, include key facts, impacts and causes categorised into social, economic and environmental factors. There are simplified tables, comparing both case studies. Allowing students to prepare and use their knowledge accurately when answering exam questions, like 20 markers. It allows students to reflect on what they could be doing in 5, 10 years time. The last slide, is a resource called 'Career Clouds', letting students reflect. By the time they finish high school they will look at the cloud again and see if they are on the right track to achieving their future career goals, or to see if they have completely changed their mind and career path. This resources should be shown in the first week of a student starting the year. But can be used at any level. It is a sheet to help student evaluate a scene in a film, using the theory of mise-en-scene. The sheet itself involves students choosing a scene from a film and evaluate it. Included in the PDF is an example that I have done using the film 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' as an example. Students should be able to recall and understand key media principles and knowledge of what key terms mean, like 'mise-en-scene'. This sheet is designed to allow students to do exactly this, allowing students to practice this. It is advised that this could be used as a homework sheet or lesson activity to work alongside a lesson on this topic. It is suggested that this sheet could be printed in A3 to allow students to write a more in-depth in evaluation. It is a handout explaining the definitions of each method of payment (blue) and their key advantages (green) and disadvantages (red). It is advised that students use this as a basis for their revision, i.e. use and extract the key information and write it into cue cards, so a cue card for each method. Students should be able to recall and understand what the methods of payments are, giving pros and cons for them. The attached worksheet is designed to test students learning and understanding after revision. Could be used a knowledge test at the start of the lesson, to test student’s knowledge or to see what they need to further revise. There is no answers included, as each answer is varied and can be approached in many ways. It is suggested to print this on A3 and colour, to help identify pros and cons, making the text clearer to see.
