A quick lesson devised for a year 7 class to introduce hobbies and pastimes using the present tense. it includes a lesson plan, quiz-quiz trade as plenary to test AfL, a differentiated reading which includes a short writing activity and a basic starter to introduce hobbies. Good for job interviews.

Ppt presentation I created to collate some fun tried and tested activities to teach the perfect tense to KS4 students. It can be easily adapted to any ability group due to the nature of the activities. It provides an explanation of what it is (uses), time indicators, formation (endings) and main irregular forms. It then includes 4 different activities: a basic sentence translation activity, a never have I ever task to get your students standing up and down depending on whether they’ve done a number of things (18 in total), a differentiated die activity to do in pairs to conjugate verbs in the perfect tense or take it a bit further and ask each other questions based on the given verbs, and finally a list of 26 things students might have or might have not done before they finish school, to practise “ya” and “aun no”. Ppt recaps opinions and adjectives and adds new ones to describe both subjects and teachers at length. There is quite a lot to practise adjectival agreement and plurals. There are differentiated and challenging activities to practise all skills with your students, a range of starter activities and 2 different vocab tests at the end of the ppt. A 40-slide ppt based on the Mira 3 textbook (rojo), “El mundo Hispano” (5.1) and “Mi vida diaria” (5.3) topics. It mainly focuses on Mi vida diaria, so you will find a lot more resources for this sub-unit than for el mundo hispano. A lesson planned for English File Advanced textbook, level C1. Topic corresponds to the first topic of module 1, ‘We are family’. Activities created to compliment and extend the textbook, but really it can be used as a standalone lesson on the topic of family. A lesson focused on developing the learning of family idioms, with practice across the skills of speaking, reading and writing. A lesson planned to celebrate Earth Day with my EAL learners (advanced level). 10 slides which contain opportunities to work on vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension (videos), speaking and even 2 projects for students to choose from.
