3 differentiated sentence builders I created to get students speaking about: Kapitel 3 - Was machst du in deiner Freizeit? Kapitel 4 - Was gibt es in deinem Klassenzimmer? Kapitel 4 - Was gibt es in deiner Stadt? These have proved successful with my students, as they haven’t not only aided with speaking tasks, but they’ve loved to refer to them for writing tasks as well, as they know exactly what to do in order to produce high quality sentences. Each builder includes step by step ideas on how to extend sentences to go from a grade B to A*.

This bundle includes units 1 to 5 from Module 4 “En casa" in Mira 1. There are a range of activities to do, a lot more than what the textbook offers: extra readings, vocab tests, extra speaking, paragraph ideas, lots of starters and plenaries, printable vocabulary lists, etc. Look at the bottom of each slide to see any notes that might be relevant to understand what to do in a certain activity, extension ideas, etc. This is a breakdown of what you are getting: 1 ppt containing units 4.1 to 4.3 (= ‘Vivimos en Europa’ + ‘Como es tu casa?’ + ‘Las habitaciones’) together = 126 slides. 1 ppt containing unit 4.4 (‘En mi dormitorio’) = 75 slides. 1 ppt containing unit 4.5 (‘Que haces?’) = 58 slides.

Inspired on social media trends, this resource is made up of 5 sheets of paper with 60 everyday life items for students to practise comparisons. The idea is for students to first choose, in each instance, which item they prefer (e.g. sightseeing vs relaxing in the beach), then go through all of them together to have a more detailed chat. Items belong to a range of categories so that the conversations will touch up on food, holidays, seasons, etc. Activity is perfect to use as an ice-breaker or simply for general conversation.

24 different cards which include a character, their name, mood, age, birthday, where they live and number of pets they have. How to carry out this task: students get to walk around the classroom and ask each other the 6 basic questions (como te llamas, como estas, donde vives, etc) according to what they have on their card. Once done, they swap cards and move on to introduce themselves to a different peer. You can get students to do this in the first person or even in the third person if you want to work different verb endings. These cards are easily adaptable to any language and you can edit the information any time. Print in colour and laminate them, they will last you a lifetime. This activity was designed to go with Mira 1 as a recap of the first module once module 3 has been done as well (as that’s when pets are introduced).

It includes an introduction to the present subjunctive with a few activities to practise within the context of festivals. It also includes a reading and a listening on bullfighting which is a topic thats not on the textbook but that i find particularly key to touch up on. A resource created for pupils taking the Edexcel Spanish IGCSE 9-1 exam to show them how to prepare for tasks B and C from the oral exam. This bundle includes 2 different ppt presentations where students are shown sample A* (grade 8,9) sentences so they have a reference on how prepare these by themselves, and to know how to make them reach grade 8/9. One of the presentations was specifically designed for a bottom set (using basic tenses they should know by the end of yr 11), whereas the other was designed for a very able top set (includes examples of present subjunctive, imperfect, etc). The latter can be turned into a task: instead of providing students with the sample answers already, you can set them the task to translate these from English into Spanish (answers provided). This means your A* sample answer will be provided in English for students to practise translation skills. It’s up to you how you want to exploit this resource.

A resource created for pupils taking the Edexcel Spanish IGCSE 9-1 exam to train their grammar skills so that they can tackle the 10-point question with confidence and success. This bundle was specifically created for a very able, top set - good news is that it’s easily adaptable and so you can tweak it to your own pupils’ needs. The ppt includes 8 grammar questions (including a range of tenses such as present continous, imperfect tense, present subjunctive) and a cheat sheet for each of them to give pupils the chance to get extra support to look should they need it. Topics are: Los viajes escolares Los planes de futuro Las normas del instituto Mi infancia y adolescencia La vida en un pais hispanohablante El medio ambiente El trabajo voluntario La tecnologia I personally have done these questions with my year 11s before the final mocks and towards the end of the year, before they go on study leave.

This is to be used, ideally, after teaching children how to say how many siblings they have, and whether they’re older or younger. The document includes a dialogue for students to put in order, a quick vocab task based on words from said dialogue, and a collaborative listening tasks for students to be the speakers. Students will be able to create their own dialogue by the end of the lesson.

Please read the notes at the bottom of each slide as i often include instructions on how to conduct an activity or simply the source (there’s a listening from the old AS textbook as well - no problem if you cannot do it as a listening because you dont have access to it, I always include transcripts for these so it can be done as a reading task or you could record yourself).
