Students completed a mid term assessment based around animal cruelty; they then practiced how to use their bodies and voices to make their speeches effective.

A lesson where the students were improving their draft assessments. I had considered the 5 areas of persuasive writing that they were struggling on and created support cards with models. I asked the students to peer assess their work and set targets - from there, they chose which support card to focus on.

A lesson based on connecting and sequencing ideas in a logical order, using connectives and "useful phrases". the lesson is themed around mosquitoes.
