This introduction to Pointillism is 8 slides long. It includes a script and looks at:
A definition for Pointillism
Seurat & Signac
How the Impressionists influenced them.
Two of Seurats paintings in detail.
Pablo Jurado Ruiz, a contemporary artists who used pointillism today.
How to mix colours using Pointillism.
It is just the right length for a 10-15min starter to a lesson.
A worksheet for students to practice mixing colours using pointillism. Inspired by all the umbrellas in Seurat's painting 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte'.
This is not a presentation in the traditional sense! It is an opportunity for members of your class to work independently at a computer, search for the hyperlinks on the image and research information about Henry VIII and answer the questions in the multiple choice quiz.
I made this to encourage students to work independently. It works like a mini website and they enjoyed trying to find all 10 hyperlinks that are hidden in the picture.
Of course it's much safer than a website and you can assess their research with the quiz.
The image of Henry with dots on is just to you where the hyperlinks are! Students don't see this!
This is a 'Great Fire of London' craft project which makes a wonderful display and reinforces learning in a very visual and creative way.
This project includes three cityscapes to print onto black sugar paper, two different sets of flames for students to colour in, a full set of illustrated instructions both as a PDF and a PowerPoint.
It's a simple project but highly effective if you wish to make a fantastic display. This can be a table top display, which I think is the most effective, or can be put on a wall.

Teach colours, months and days of the week with this exciting, interactive bundle. This range of different ideas and resources will engage different types of learners.
DAYS OF THE WEEK
There are four resources within this presentation!
1. Learn and Test the Days of the Week in French (Slide 3).
Use as whole class work, where together you go through the days of the week, working on pronunciation. Each time you click the French word will appear next to the English. Initially you can click so they are reading it but then work up to clicking after they have said it. Stretch the more able: Invite students to have a go on their own in front of their peers if they feel confident enough. Alternatively pair a student with good pronunciation to work with a student with weaker pronunciation to work at the computer together.
2. Match the Days of the Week in French to English Using slide 4
Matching activity. Print as many times as you wish, laminate, and create sets of cards for matching the English to the French.
3. Show the French - Do they Know the English? Slides 5 – 11
This is an alternative activity where you show your students the French and they have to remember the English. At the press of a button the English flies onto the screen. This could also be printed as an alternative display.
4. Slides 13 – 19 A bright and colourful display for your classroom.
MONTHS OF THE YEAR
4 Resources!
1. A clever PowerPoint where you can click on the different months of the year on the first slide and it jumps to a slide with that month in French. Great for whole class learning or for individuals or pairs to work at the computer.
2. A second interactive PowerPoint where, as a class you read through the months of the year as they appear on screen, to practice and become confident with pronunciation.
3. A display of the months of the year in French - just print slides 18 - 29.
4. The PDF is a sorting activity. Print, laminate and cut up the months of the year in French and English and ask your student to match them.
COLOURS
There are three activities and a display in this resource.
In the PowerPoint there is an interactive slide where anywhere you click on the colour wheel, or on the circles of colour, it takes you to a slide with that word in French. Work as a class or group, or set an individual or pair working at the computer.
Also in the PowerPoint is a display of 10 colours in French. Just press print!
There are two PDFs.
One is a sorting activity. Print, laminate and cut up the words so your classes can sort and learn.
The second are the French colour words for colouring in.
Just added! A 13th resource!!! Three word searches on one sheet. You guessed it - colours, days of the week and months.
Suitable for Primary School or Year 7.

This interactive PowerPoint generates a sum from the 3 or 4 times table every time you click within the circle. This allows you to choose a member from your class, click anywhere in the circle and a question will be revealed for that student.
e.g. 7 x 3 or 9 x 4 etc.
This is a great way to assess learning through questioning.
This interactive PowerPoint generates a sum from the 2 and 5 times table every time you click within the circle. This allows you to choose a member from your class, click anywhere in the circle and a question will be revealed for that student.
e.g. 7 x 2 or 9 x 5 etc.

Just change the names within the slides of the PowerPoint to those in your class and then click anywhere around the word 'Random' to jump to a students name. The name bounces onto the screen!
A great fun way to choose students in your class.
As you can see from the previews it is visually appealing too.
It comes with clear instructions.
This can be updated and used year after year.
It is for up to 32 students.
You can change the word Random and it won't effect how it works!

A bundle of Planner Pages with (hopefully) one to suit everyone!
A planner page with 5 lessons a day.
A planner page with 6 lessons a day.
A planner page with 6 lesson & a space for lunch, a day.
A planner page with 6 lesson & a space for break & lunch.
A planner page with 7 lessons a day.
A planner page with 8 lessons a day.
Each planner page has a space for the date, a to-do space which could also be changed to ‘form time’, lesson and homework space and often an additional box for notes at the bottom.
Two differentiated worksheets that are fun and creative, and also reinforce symmetry.
The worksheet with the title 'Butterfly Art' is more detailed and therefore challenging. The one with no title is simpler.
I have had success asking students to draw lightly in pencil, then use pen, then colour.
