This resource allows student to investigate the relationship between height of drop and impact crater. you only need marbles, metre sticks and sand, goggles I have created the worksheet that allows students to collect datan analyse and apply to exam questions. 1 worksheet 1 lesson. The powerpoint presentation is included. Students really enjoy the context and ability to do an investigation and link it to real life. Enjoy

One of the ways to make students more confident is to get students to build circuits and draw them. The circuits become a familiar image. This lesson allows students to learn about technology to look into space. The lesson can open with discussion on ways to look into space, followed by images taken by Hubble ( not created by me). You can also ask students to share their ideas about stars and need to observe space. Students can then be introduced to two types of telescopes ( briefly). Students can then move around the room and collect information to complete their table from the fact sheets on different technologies used to look into space. The lesson can end with extended writing on comparing Land based and spaced based technologies to look into space. I have updated the information sheets and formatted them. I will update the powerpoint shortly as well.
