Use these 2 flexible resources with a mixed ability Beginners Adult ESL class. The Past Simple and Past Continuous/Past Progressive Tense are introduced in a context that is relevant to adult students with language that they will be able to use in their everyday lives. It is not for complete beginners as some prior knowledge is required. I suggest that the Past Simple lesson is done first, as the Past Continuous resource builds on this. It’s easy to use, just Print and GO. I’ve even included answers for some of the activities to make it easier for you to check the answers with the whole class, using Power Point. This is a bundle of three reading lessons suitable for a mixed ability beginner or low level Pre Intermediate ESL or Adult Migrant class. The lessons are based on Information Reports all with an Australian flavour which would be great for Australian Adult Migrant classes but they would also work with English learners in other countries as there is also opportunities to discuss and write about aspects of the students own culture or country.
