I am developing a full range of theory lessons to support the new AQA design technology GCSE 9-1. There are 30 lessons that are taught one a week throughout Y10.
Each lesson has learning objectives, starter/bell task, content (GIF’s used to support learning), plenary and summary slides in PowerPoint. I have also included a fully supported student handout which includes homework questions and summative assessment section.
To support the theory lessons I have uploaded, please download my pupil tracker sheet.
As well as theory lessons I have uploaded project/skills learning journeys that can be easily customised to the projects you are delivering.
All content is fully branded and is graphically consistent.
Please check out my other resources and give feedback if you find my resources helpful.
If there are any missing video links, please contact me and I will send.

A small 6 lesson engineering project (can be used in the run up to Christmas) based on producing a candlestick. Focuses on developing turning and riveting skills. PowerPoint has embedded gif’s to illustrate turning stages which makes it easy for students to follow.
Could be used as a stand alone theory lesson for delivery towards any DT qualification. I use this as part of the theory content of the new BTEC Tech Award Engineering qualification (Pearson).
Please see my extensive range of other supporting resources.

Developed to be delivered with the new AQA NEA for DT. Complete PowerPoint that takes students through each section. Clear and precise assessment tracker has also been included to support. This powerpoint has been modified to be more appropriate for students completing a PRdocut Design based project.
I have produced a full range of theory lessons to support the AQA design technology GCSE 9-1. There are 40 lessons that are taught one a week throughout Y10 (listed below).

I have created an introduction lesson for use when delivering the new AQA NEA courswork task. I have stated the contextual challenges and unpacked them with a slant towards Graphics. However the structure can easily be tweaked to focus on any material base. Please see me other NEA documents for a complete picture of the work I do.
12 Lesson project that will give students a sound understanding of the main workshop skills involved in forming, wasting and fabricating polymers, metals and woods. Students will learn how to cut, bend and screw thread metals, laser cut polymers, shape and finish wood to create a accurate and usable product.
Each lesson has a starter, lesson objectives and a plenary that build through the project. Comprehensive set of ‘job cards’ are provided which include all manufacturing specification details.
Look out for my other AQA theory lessons and SOW that compliment this project.
