Four great display, research and sorting activities that are perfect for introducing students to some of the key events of Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, Ancient Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt.
Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. Each of the four individual resources includes posters or task cards that timeline the key events and periods from the ancient civilizations.
The research and sorting activities are differentiated into two levels: with dates and without dates. Lower level students can sort the events using the dates, whilst higher level students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline.

The first lesson involves students retrieving facts from informational texts about Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, and writing these on to a fact sheet. In the second lesson students need to use these facts to write three to four paragraphs about the individual Founding Fathers. In the third lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on a neat copy using the template provided.

Firstly, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events from the American Revolutionary War. There are 29 posters or task cards that include many of the key events from the time period.
Secondly, there is a reading comprehension activity - children need to read through an informational text, and then answer comprehension and grammar questions, before completing an extension activity.
Finally, there is an informational text writing unit. The unit has been split into three separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. Ideal for students learning about the American Revolutionary War.
