Firstly, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the key events of World War 2. There are 42 posters or cards that include many of the key events from the Second World War. The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to World War II. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.
Then, there are sixteen reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, about:

This is a discussion based writing unit about who has been the most influential U.S. president of all time. Perfect for Presidents Day! The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. Perfect for students in Year 3 or Year 4.
The first lesson involves students retrieving facts from informational texts about George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt, and writing these onto the included fact sheet. In the second lesson students need to use these facts to write three to four paragraphs about the individual presidents. In the third lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on a neat copy using the template provided.

A great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the key events of World War 2. There are 42 posters or cards that include many of the key events from the Second World War.
