A biography writing project about the life and career of tennis superstar, Roger Federer. The NO PREP unit has been split into four separate lessons and is perfect for students in Year 5 or Year 6. The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.

There are 25 posters or cards that include many of the key events and periods from the founding of Rome to the end of the empire. The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to Ancient Rome. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.
Then, there is an informational text writing unit about Ancient Rome. The unit has also been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

A biography writing unit about the life of famous female aviator and the first woman to fly across the Atlantic solo, Amelia Earhart. The NO PREP unit has been split into four separate lessons and is perfect for students in Year 5 or Year 6. Students will learn about the famous figure whilst working on their comprehension skills and developing their creative writing.

The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.
