A funny Christmas play script called Santa’s Successor. The script follows the story line of a man who accidentally disrupts Santa’s deliveries and has to take over his route before finding his way to Santa’s work shop. After causing Santa to fall from his rooftop, the man and his two young sons have to finish Santa’s deliveries for the night, and then the reindeers fly them to the North Pole. Once there, they are greeted by two elves, who explain how he must become the new Santa. However, a mysterious outcast lives to the North of the town; this outcast hates Christmas and anything to do with the festive time of year. This outcast is called the Grouch! The play follows the story of Mary-Boo and her family as they open up to the Grouch, and try to show him what Christmas is all about. However, the Grouch has his own plans to ruin Christmas for the town, and steals all the presents on Christmas eve. He has a change of heart however when he hears the town enjoying Christmas even though he had stolen all of the presents. One day she found out she was a human, and decided to go and visit her biological father. But then everything changed when she fell out with her father and she decided to leave. However, as she was walking alone, she heard a crash; when she went to investigate, she noticed it was her good friend, Santa. A great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the some of the key events of the 20th Century. There are 42 posters or task cards that include many of the key events from the beginning of the 1900s until the end of the century. Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points. This is because the aim is to get students writing answers and not to just have multiple choice options. Please ensure when you download this resource into Google Drive that you are logged in to the gmail account where you wish to store the activity.
