Hi, my name is Mr Saxby. I lead mathematics and am part of the Senior Leadership Team at a 1 form Primary School. I enjoy creating resources and have been uploading them to my own website for many years now. Due to ongoing costs, I am now slowly migrating all my resources to the tes site. Some of which will continue to be free while others will include a small fee. I hope you gain a greater work-life balance with my resources as teacher wellbeing has always been one of my highest priorities.

Here is a subtraction worksheet pack I have created. I have put year 3, 4, 5, or 6 as it really depends on where your class are at and children's individual needs. In regard to the national curriculum, this would be aimed at year 4. It includes place value headings and the use of chilli challenge for children to select their own difficulty. This is a great resource to get children to practice the formal subtraction modal as there is no exchanging required. I hope you like it! Your feedback is always welcomed. Thank you.
*UPDATE* - Slideshow with timer! PowerPoint format - enjoy!
*UPDATE* - Conjunctions and Connectives mat :)
*UPDATE* - Up-levelling included in pack 2 :)
*UPDATE* - Reading for sense mat
At a recent EIP meeting it was discussed that children are to be trained to use edit stations. These have a positive impact on children to self check their work. Each station can be set up and the children rotate around the table or the paper is simply passed around. We use it at the end of a lesson, children have 4 minutes with each station then we pass on the paper to the next. Children are only allowed to edit what station they are on, for example if they are on the Capital letter station they are just looking through their work for capital letters. This can also be completed as a whole lesson. So far the pack includes capital letters, full stops and commas, spelling, inverted commas, sentence openers and apostrophes. Please note the section on the spelling part is for you to write topic words when laminated. I hope this helps you! It's been great in our class. Please let me know what you think in the your feedback.
I used this in an 'outstanding' observation. The set comes with word documents so that you can edit freely. The word problems can be stuck into books and the shop is a double sided. Children get answers from the shop. 3 levels of differentiation with answers for self assessment!
Here is an Addition worksheet pack I have created. I have included a whole week of worksheets with answers to allow children to self-assess. I have put year 3, 4, or 5 as it really depends on where your class are at and children's individual needs. In regard to the national curriculum, this would be aimed at year 4. It includes place value headings and the use of chilli challenge for children to select their own difficulty. I hope you like it! Your feedback is always welcomed. Thank you.
Adding Fractions using spicy levels.
Fractions word problems using spicy levels.
3 Levels of spiciness - KS2
I used these in my year 4/5 class.
All come with answers to encourage children to self assess.
RUCSAC display also included.
UPDATE - 1.7.18 - I have updated all the combined scores for the final summer assessment.
UPDATE - This update includes the new year 6 combined scores and the new year 2 combined scores. 29.3.18
Please note a slight change in the year 2 results (autumn) due to further data predictions to this years SATs test. Remember these are only a guide and have proved very useful and accurate in our school.
I have created an excel sheet to use as a whole school assessment for the NEW 2017/18 White Rose Maths assessment material. I work as part of the senior leadership team and lead mathematics. This is not perfect by any means. I have used previous SAT’s scores to inform my judgement. This is NOT to be taken as a pass or fail assessment material. I found it useful to look at a glance to see children’s results. I also can not predict the next terms test scores but will update accordingly if they change :) I hope you find it useful too.
All 7 different word mats. Also comes with the word file format so you can edit away. Spelling word mat, capital letter word mat, speech word mat, apostrophe word mat, full stops and comma word mat, sentence opener word mat, reading for sense word mat.
