This detailed 21 page PSHE / RSE workbook and one hour lesson pack has been created for the new PSHE / RSE and Health 2020 Statutory Guidance (specifically unhealthy relationships) and focuses on what to look out for in controlling and bullying / coercive relationships. It contains all of the information needed to learn about the topic in the first few pages, then the rest of the booklet is full of activities to complete. The lesson includes a detailed one-hour PowerPoint, various differentiated activities, clip task, information sheets and literacy tasks. The booklet is differentiated and great for recording progress in PSHE. It’s easy to print and editable (as it comes in a portrait-version ready to print PowerPoint as well as a PDF version) - so you can always amend it for your students. Students will investigate what these terms mean, how stereotyping can be harmful and why humanity developed the ability to make quick generalisations about groups. Students will investigate the case of Ethel, an old lady who loves her teenage grandchildren, yet can’t help stereotyping teenagers as a potential danger to her when she passes them on the streets. Students will explore why this is, how the mind works and how stereotypes evolved originally to help us avoid threats, but can be detrimental when applied to societal groups in the modern world.
