In this lesson, the children will learn about climate change and the reasons why our world is getting warmer. We will discuss the harmful effects of greenhouse gases and the different ways we can help to lessen the effects of global warming. An Introduction to puberty - Year 4 / 5
Our Introduction to puberty PSHE Unit for KS2 contains 4 lessons following the new DfE Statutory Guidance and the PSHE Association’s suggested themed approach for Puberty and Growing Up (Health and Wellbeing strand).
The lessons have been left editable and are filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. They are designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick them up and use them, although they are allso adaptable should you wish to.
The unit serves as an introduction to the physical and emotional changes students will experience during puberty. The contents of this unit include:
Growing up - girls
An introduction to girls’ puberty, growing up, changing bodies and the female reproductive organs. This lesson focuses on the major changes that most girls face during pubery, in particular breast development and menstruation. We will discuss strategies for managing menstruation and highlight the fact that we are all different, and everyone develops at a different rate.
Growing up - boys
This lesson follows on from the girls’ puberty lesson and introduces the major changes that boys commonly experience. This lesson highlights changes such as growth spurts, erections, wet dreams, body odor and oily skin. The lesson also discusses ways that we can manage these changes.
Personal Hygiene
The third lesson in this series focuses on cleanliness, and how changes during puberty often mean that we need to pay closer attention to our personal hygiene.
Changing Emotions
In this lesson, the students will learn about the emotional and changes that boys and girls commonly experience during puberty. We will discuss the impact of hormones such as estrogen and testosterone on our mood. The lesson touches on topics such as mood swings, premenstrual syndrome, feelings of aggression, irritability and low mood, as well as ways that we can manage these symptoms.
Family and Me - KS1 PSHE

The Russian Invasion of Ukraine - 1 hour lesson ( KS2 / KS3)
A detailed, differentiated and editable 1 hour lesson all about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In this lesson, the students will learn about the history of Ukraine, and navigate the events that have led to the current conflict. We will discuss the reasons why Putin has ordered the invasion, as well as looking at the response of the international community.
The lesson is ideally suited to students in UKS2 or younger students in KS3. The resources are fully editable, and therefore easy to amend should you wish to use the resources with younger students.
The lesson is well-differentiated with three-level challenges for each task, contains a variety of activities, an hour long PowerPoint, clips with differentiated questions, clear measurable LOs, new key-term introductions and other activities.

**Friendships and Getting Along - KS1 PSHE **
A collection of PSHE resources that have been created to cover the ‘Relationships’ strand of the PSHE Association’s Programme of Study for KS1.
In particular, the resources in this bundle focus on friendship and maintaining respectful relationships with our family members and peers.
The 6-lesson unit includes the following:
Making friends
Being a good friend
Playing with others
Working with others
Manners and respect
Resolving conflict.
Each lesson includes a variety of fun and creative activities, plus enough teaching materials to last at least an hour.
The lessons in this unit have been specifically created for use with students in Year 2, however, they may also be suitable for younger students in KS2 (Year 3).
The resources are also suitable for use in schools who have opted to follow the PSHE Association’s Thematic Model for KS1.

A detailed, differentiated and editable 1 hour lesson which could be used over a week of Tutor Time, with literacy tasks, timeline tasks and many clip tasks for classes keeping up to date with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Suitable for KS3 or KS4.

**Working with others KS1 PSHE lesson. **
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 2, however, the activities may also be suitable for younger KS2 children (Year 3).
In this lesson, the students will learn about teamwork and working cooperatively with others. We will discuss listening skills, leadership, respect, assigning roles and decision making in the context of working together as a team.
The lesson includes a case study starter, a story with accompanying questions, a production line cupcake factory task, and finally a reflection-based plenary task.
Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.
