Geography Bingo - Hazards
Fun game to play with students and a great listening/visual exercise. Can be used as either a starter/main/plenary.

Key word list
Students choose 12 key words from the list on the PowerPoint. They then watch the video’s on a variety of hazards to listen to key words during the video. They tick off the key words and the winner is the one with a line/full house. Bingo!!!

9/11 Terrorist Attacks
This lessons aims to show students what happened on 9/11.
Included in this lesson:
Students use the sources to understand how 9/11 unfolded.
Students use the sources to understand why America was attacked and how they responded.
Students watch video clips to understand how George Bush found out about the disaster and how responded.
How was 9/11 portayed in the movies?
My students found this lesson fascinating!
Enjoy this lesson starter or plenary which is targeted for KS4. Each of the games are Geography based and include a range of questions suitable to the GCSE syllabus. We have also used this for our KS3 students in preparation for the GCSE course.
Aim of the game: Students place their tokens on the answer or multiple answer. If they answer correctly, they keep the tokens and use them on the next question. Any tokens which are placed on the incorrect answer are lost. Students with tokens left after the final question WIN.
Our students loved these activities and we do them once per fortnight. Enjoy!
