The tests are aimed at GCSE 9-1 Higher Level pupils but may also be useful for Year 10. The 2 tests have very similar questions. Pupils can take the first test, identify areas to work on and complete further work. They can then take the second test to see if they have improved. The activity involves finding the areas of rectangles and triangles. Windows and doors need to be subtracted to find the areas of the front walls of the houses. There are 4 spooky houses of increasing difficulty. The students then need to calculate the cost of buying the black paint to paint the house fronts. There are 6 worksheets. All answers are included.
