Recently revamped Edexcel English Language Paper 1 lesson that looks at symbols, their importance in one extract and supports students in exploring their existing knowledge of symbols and helps them to reflect on their power in literary texts. A fully differentiated and resourced lesson that helps students to analyse a text for the use of imagery for effect. The lesson, ideal for both KS3 and KS4 the students preparing for Edexcel English Language Paper 1 Section A, centres around the importance of symbols within literature.

Science Fiction lesson that focuses on the ending of a text, looking at typical conclusions to Science Fiction narratives and those belonging to the genre. Students analyse an example of a Science Fiction ending, considering what tone and impact it has on the reader, before creating their own.
