This free download has a basic comparison between; OCR’s Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification (AAQ) Cambridge Advance National in Health and Social Care and… Pearson Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification (AAQ) in Health & Social Care In addition there are 3 models of delivery for the Pearson AAQ and a document with the rationale behind each, comparing models. There are then two models for the OCR AAQ and a document that compares these - you may wish to discuss these with your department. These planning documents are based on the current AAQ information before the Governments education review. There is a dedicated Facebook group which has been set up to dicuss the qualification and optional units, you may wish to join. September 2025 is the start for the Pearson BTEC AAQ in Health & Social Care, here I am sharing my initial planning. I will be resourcing the mandatory aspects of the course completely by mid-January and optional units by the beginning of March.
