Hope it is beneficial to other teachers having to juggle 2 different specs for yr9/10 and the old spec for yr 11.

It starts by telling the story of thalidomide and then goes into why it led to better testing conditions, what they are and the procedures for human testing, using placebos and blind trials. The worksheets attached can be used alongside the power point and are good for low ability / SEN students. The power point cards can be printed out and given to more able students to make a sheet about these 3 medicines, or can just be used for revision, starters or plenary activities.
