Our Key Stage 2 plans are designed to challenge learners whilst feeling current and relevant to today’s children. Topics have been selected to appeal to boys (as well as girls) that link with the curriculum and allow opportunity to develop technique as well as choreography. To deliver our plans, you need no experience of dance. This Quickstep plan is inspired by Strictly Come Dancing and includes a lesson plan and a video Learn a Quickstep dance Develop children’s choreography We’re often asked how long each lesson plan should last for…and really it’s up to you and your class! There’s enough content included on each plan to last for one 45 minute session, but you might find that you all love it so much that each plan could extend over two or three sessions. That’s why we’ve added in lots of different activities into each pack. JumpStart Dance resources always include… • Fun, easy to follow activities • Opportunities for the children to learn, create, perform and appreciate • Ideas to develop dance content into performance • Music suggestions for each activity (downloadable / playable via iTunes, Spotify, other music providers) • Topic-linked warm ups and cool downs For a wider range of topics, including more Ballroom plans, World War II and Extreme Earth, visit primaryschooldance.co.uk/key-stage-2
