BEGINNER SPANISH INTERMEDIATE SPANISH CONJUNCTIONS & CONNECTIVES LIST LAS CONJUNCIONES EN ESPAÑOL Files are non-editable in a zipped format. The product is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, amended, shared or distributed outside your own classroom in any way. The license is a single-user license only. The product is free to download, but Terms of Use still apply. Ideal reference resource for students focusing on high-frequency Spanish conjunctions and connectives. I’ve found that the lists are a great learning support resource, and they’re really popular with students too. They work well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. This list is a collection of 25 high-frequency Spanish conjunctions and connectives that students will meet in the advanced beginner Spanish to intermediate Spanish learning programmes, and useful for students beginning advanced Spanish as a vocabulary audit. It’s an important step in language learning is to ensure that students quickly develop a useful vocabulary bank, are able to recognize Spanish conjunctions and connectives, and are confident with the meaning of those words in their first / home language, so that they can produce more detailed and descriptive language and more complex sentences and texts as soon as possible. Students shouldn’t take on the task of learning 25 conjunctions and connectives all at once though - this is more of a longer-term reference resource that students can use to audit their developing Spanish vocabulary, and it is definitely the case that frequent and regular use in real-world practical contexts is far more successful at embedding vocabulary into longer-term memory. There are two alphabetical lists - one Spanish-English, and one English-Spanish, as I’ve found that most language students prefer to have both as a reference resource. The list is a great time-saver for teachers too - if you’re preparing resources focusing on high-frequency Spanish conjunctions for your students, the list is a good starting point. There are two backgrounds to choose from - Spanish flag, which I tend to use for Spanish vocabulary display or Spanish grammar display, and plain. Twenty fruits in French, with both words and pictures - I like to give visual vocabulary lists to my Primary French Immersion learners, as they can generally more easily assimilate new language and vocabulary when they are able to link it in their memory with a visual image. Children glue them into their French vocabulary books, or file them in their French vocabulary folders with other vocabulary lists, which gives them an accessible and useful French reference bank for both class and home learning. We also discuss which fruits we know and like, and those we would like to try. Children like to create their own word and picture dictionary lists, adding to it as they learn more. I don’t necessarily have all the fruits in my teaching and learning plan, but it’s always a good idea to give children opportunity to engage with a broader range of words and sounds, which they begin to absorb quite naturally. The fruits focus on the definite article, either singular or plural, which is a great for promoting discussion about grammatical concepts in French, specifically gender of French nouns. The fruits are: the apples the bananas the cherries the fig the grapes the lemon the mango the nectarine the olives the orange the papaya the peach the pear the pineapple the pumpkins the raspberry the rhubarb the starfruit the strawberries the watermelon There are two backgrounds to choose from - French flag, which I use for French vocabulary display, or plain. SPANISH FOR CHILDREN NUMBERS 0-31 BEGINNER SPANISH NUMBERS 0-31 FREEBIE ***12 differentiated task cards, answer key & recording sheet *** Files are non-editable in a zipped format. The product is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed outside your own in any way. The license is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use. The product is free to download, but Terms of Use still apply. Spanish Numbers 0-31 Task Cards really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of Spanish numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. The questions and responses have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping beginner Spanish students familiarize themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling longer words in Spanish. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on Spanish Numbers 0-31, but also for sub lessons, as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as the goal is not simply to learn how to count in Spanish, but also to enjoy working with Spanish, and to feel confident about doing so. All questions are in Spanish, and range in complexity and challenge, both in terms of language and number skills. I’ve used visual prompts such as math symbols to ensure all learners can engage with the questions, and this helps them to begin to infer meaning from context, and to decode cues and prompts to foster understanding. I don’t allow the use of calculators to increase the challenge a little. Some questions focus specifically on Spanish math language, which students do not always engage with very often. The level of math is fairly simple, but certainly draws on prior number and arithmetic learning. I’ve labelled the cards A-L, so that if you have the set of 48 task cards, you can use them together. Try this set of 48 differentiated task cards focusing on Spanish Numbers 0-31 ($3): SPANISH NUMBERS 0-31 : 48 DIFFERENTIATED TASK CARDS WITH ANSWER KEY & RECORDING SHEET https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/spanish-numbers-0-31-task-cards-12778894 Have a browse in my store for more Spanish independent learning activities, and a wide range of other Spanish teaching and learning materials, with Spanish dollar deals, special offer bundles, and lots of freebies. ¡MUCHAS GRACIAS Y BUEN APRENDIZAJE!

The product is free to download, but Terms of Use still apply. Perfect for developing Spanish language skills in general, as well as for practicing and revising numbers 0-21 in Spanish. There are 12 differentiated questions, with answer key and recording sheet. The cards are numbered A-L, so you can easily use these with the set of 48 task cards, making a total of 60 cards. Task cards are an ideal language learning activity, perfect for multi-skill language learning: listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They really help students develop more independence in their learning, moving away from more teacher-led tasks and activities. All the questions are in Spanish, including a range of Spanish math language. Students may not necessarily engage with that at this stage of their learning, so I use math symbols as visual clues and prompts, enabling students to infer meaning from context. This is a key language learning skill in general, which is important for students to develop as quickly as possible. Depending on the particular group, I may read through the questions together as a whole-group first. I really try to make the most of the task cards too - for example, with multiple-choice questions, I ask students how they have arrived at the correct response, and what is wrong with the other responses. Being able to identify errors is a key language learning skill, and it’s useful for students to begin to develop that from the very beginning of their learning. The resource comprises the following non-editable files in a zipped format: 12 differentiated question cards 4 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Print, laminate and cut out. Laminating is definitely worth the extra prep time and expense, as they cards are far more learner-friendly, and last for absolutely years. answer key & answer recording sheet The set of Spanish Numbers 0-21 Task Cards, with 48 differentiated question cards, answer key and recording sheet ($3) is here: SPANISH NUMBERS 0-21 TASK CARDS : 48 DIFFERENTIATED TASK CARDS WITH ANSWER KEY & RECORDING SHEET https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/spanish-numbers-0-21-task-cards-12921443 Have a browse in my store for more Spanish independent learning activities and task cards, and a wide range of other Spanish teaching and learning materials, with Spanish dollar deals, special offer bundles, and lots of freebies. ¡MUCHAS GRACIAS Y BUEN APRENDIZAJE!

Mots Cachés are a fabulous way of encouraging students to engage with the written word in French, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This freebie word search features fourteen French Christmas words, which helps to develop students’ awareness of some Francohphone Christmas traditions and figures, such as Saint Nicholas and Père Fouettard. I use this as a prompt to stimulate discussion about French Christmas practices and customs, and we talk about what students know about other Christmas traditions around the world. The nouns feature masculine and feminine, singular and plural and both definite and indefinite articles, which is a great way of working on and consolidating those grammatical concepts too. I always give answer keys to my word searches - that works really well in terms of helping students work and learn independently together without me, and gives them even more opportunity to engage with French. They’re a great teacher time-saver too, which is always a bonus! I use word searches as starters, refreshers, plenaries or fun-time fillers at any time during the Christmas season, not only if I’m introducing French Christmas vocabulary. They may not be copied, rewritten, amended, shared or distributed in any way outside your own classroom. Please read the Terms of Use. The resource is free to download, but Terms of Use still apply - please read them carefully. A great French Christmas picture & vocabulary reference resource for younger learners of French. It works well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. There are 20 common French Christmas words with pictures that I’ve found ideal for children learning French. I’ve used a blend of masculine and feminine nouns, definite article and indefinite article and there are some plurals too. I use this to stimulate discussion about articles, the concept of gender in French (which is often quite contrary to some learners’ first language, such as English), and forming the plural in French. It’s also great for promoting discussion about Christmas traditions and practices in France and French regions, as well as other French-speaking countries, comparing them to other Christmas customs with which students are familiar. Over time, I encourage students to add to the list - by the end of their French learning program, they’ll have a comprehensive French Christmas vocabulary bank. There are two backgrounds to choose from - Christmas colors (which I tend to use as part of a French Christmas display), and blackline snow. This is a free set of 12 French Numbers 0-100 Task Cards with answer key and recording sheet. You can use this freebie together with the full set, as these are marked with letters, rather than numbered. French Numbers 0-100 Task Cards really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of French numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarize themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling longer words in French. The translation questions are a great way of introducing beginner French learners to the concept of translation too. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on French Numbers 0-100, but also as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as the goal is not simply to learn how to count in French, but also to enjoy working with French, and to feel confident about doing so. All questions are in French, and range in complexity and challenge, both in terms of language and number skills. I’ve used visual prompts such as math symbols to ensure all learners can engage with the questions, and this helps them to begin to infer meaning from context, and to decode cues and prompts to foster understanding. This set comprises the following non-editable files: 12 differentiated question cards, 6 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Laminate if possible - they’re far more learner-friendly and last for absolutely years! answer key & recording sheet I don’t always use a recording sheet - my students all have class workbooks, and they use those to work out their answers, and to note them down Have a look at the set of French Numbers 0-100 Task Cards here: ($3.75) FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 : 48 DIFFERENTIATED TASK CARDS WITH ANSWER KEY & RECORDING SHEET https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-numbers-0-100-task-cards-12150355 Have a browse in my store for more French independent learning activities, and a wide range of other French teaching and learning materials, with French dollar deals, special offer bundles, and lots of freebies. I like to have sets of super simple vocabulary recall worksheets that my students can work on independently for both practice and revision, either in class time or for home learning. They’re really useful for embedding vocabulary, checking recall, and for reading, writing and accurate spelling in German. These four recall worksheets focus on German Numbers 0-100, and feature two differentiated recall challenges: Challenge 1: translate and write the numbers in German from a number prompt; the numbers are in numerical order Challenge 2: translate and write the numbers in German from a number prompt; the numbers are in random, rather than numerical order.
