This gymnastics group balances for groups of 4 reference sheet and task card set are perfect for your Primary or Secondary Gymnastics Lessons. This resource includes a set of Gymnastics group balances task cards for group balances and routines as well as a differentiated visual aid (with around 30 balances) students can use to copy the group balances from. The task cards contain 16 tasks on 13 pages. The tasks take students through how to match, mirror and complement individual balances as well as creating their own interpretations independently. They also included tasks that use the group of 4 balances resource sheet: Students select and practice Find ways of getting into and out of the balances Linking 2 group of 4 balances together Developing their own 4 person balances by matching and mirroring pairs balances, trio balances, top positions or base positions given Creating a short sequence Easiest to hardest: Green, Yellow, Red, Purple I would only suggest purple and red to those that are really competent gymnasts and have done some sports acro before - otherwise support would be required. A lesson on using Pythagoras theorem. Includes a powerpoint teaching students about how to apply Pythagoras’ theorem, a differentiated workbook and a rounding dominos activity for the starter. Skills covered include using Pythagoras to find the hypotenuse, using Pythagoras to find the short side and length of a set of coordinates, using Pythagoras to find the perimeter of compound shape Time saving resource for busy teachers! You should be able to teach a lesson with hardly any preparation (mainly printing and maybe some cutting!). Students will need to know how to round to significant figures and decimal places in order to access this lesson fully. Fully differentiated objectives: Blue: Use Pythagoras’ theorem to find the length of the hypotenuse in a right-angled triangle. Gold: Use Pythagoras’ theorem to find length of a short side in a right-angled triangle Use Pythagoras’ theorem to find the length of a line segment, given the coordinates of the end-points. Students will find rounding to decimal places and significant figures more engaging with these sets of dominos. Great to use as a starter or plenary in a lesson on rounding to decimal places or significant figures, or as a starter to check for prior learning when teaching something like Trigonometry or Pythagoras. Skills include rounding to 1 decimal places, 2 decimal places, 1 significant figure, 2 significant figures, 3 significant figures and a mix of all. This activity is a fun and novel way for students to practise rounding to decimal places and significant figures. They can start on any domino they like, answer the question, find the answer on a different domino then repeat the process. If they have answered all questions correctly they should end up back at the domino they started with. Then they will move onto constructing perpendicular bisectors and angles. This is a time saving resource for busy teachers.
