This resource features 2 differentiated word searches, each with 2 versions, i.e. a picture only puzzle and one showing the words as well as the pictures. 4 puzzles altogether… These word searches can be used in a variety of ways, e.g. give learners a word puzzle to solve first. Maths, English, Science and Food Technology - This fun-packed project will involve your reception or Year 1 class in fun activities. Some of the skills involved include estimating, measuring, investigating, designing, describing. Some tasks lend themselves particularly to group work. A 6-page document with suggestions for use and differentiation is also included. Talk about pasta and their shapes, use them to measure items, experiment with pasta in various ways, design your own, create a bar chart, make a pasta monster and write about it. These are just a few of the activities and tasks included. This could be a 3-4 week project, though it depends on how many lessons are dedicated to the project each week.
