This resource guides a-level biologists through plant and animal life cycles and how they rely on the production of gametes. Students then walk through the process of meiosis before looking in detail at the process of crossing-over and non-disjunction and how this leads to variation. Stretch, challenge and lateral thinking questions are embedded throughout. This is a resource been made to be picked up and used by any teacher. AQA Biology

Year 7 Physics Literacy Mat

(0)
This resource is created from the new Edexcel 5 year SoW and covers the entire topic of year 7 physics. The idea behind this resource is that it can be printed and laminated and pupils can use it as a place mat. The literacy mat covers the topics of: - Energy Stores - Energy Transfers -Fuels - Renewable & non-renewable resources - Series & Parallel Circuits - Circuit Symbols - Using Electricity - Forces - Springs - Pressure - Moving Sounds - Detecting Sounds - Comparing Waves By covering the entire units key concepts this should increase the proportion of independent study whist reducing the repetition of similar questions. Despite being based on the Edexcel SoW, this resource is usable and transferable across all exam boards.

Year 7 Biology Literacy Mat

(0)
This resource is based on the new Edexcel 5 year SoW and covers the entirety of year 7 biology. The aim of this resource is to act as a laminated place mat for the pupils to work upon and use for inspiration during their independent or group working tasks. The idea is to reduce the amount of time the teacher has to spend answering the same questions over and over again, allowing the pupils to access that information consistently throughout any lesson during biology. The topics covered include: - Life Processes - Organs - Tissues - Cells -Organ Systems - Animal Sexual Reproduction - Reproductive Organs - The Skeleton - Muscles & Moving - Food Chains
