This resource pack revises the use of a thesaurus to choose appropriate synonyms and demonstrates how the choice of words can change the shade of meaning in poetry. Pupils can use the interactive activity to create their own concrete poem using a typical Welsh image as a background to build their poem upon and then print out the completed version. Alternatively the activity could be used for whole class demonstration before printing out backgrounds for the children to write their poem on.

There are 4 parts which look at : Beginnings : What should be included at the start of a legend, setting the scene, looking at words and phrases to describe it. Characters: Looking at the words and phrases to describe an extraordinary character and what features pupils can reproduce for their own character. Problems and Resolutions: Looking at the problems that could be encountered, and how, in an exciting way, these can be resolved.

The following activities will allow non-specialists to introduce digital video editing using the DMC cameras. The lessons give staff and pupils easy to follow guidelines to allow them to produce an advert. Pupils will learn the skills of non-linear report writing and editing for a purpose. This can be taught across the curriculum and is an ideal opportunity for implimenting ICT as a key skill.

The Farm takes pupils on a virtual journey of a livestock farm. They see pigs, ducks, hens, horses, cows and sheep. There is a small information screen about each animal and where it lives, and then some activities involving counting animals and matching animals. Pupils can also sing along to the Old MacDonald had a farm nursery rhyme. Learning objectives: to recognise and name different sorts of farm animals, to count to nine, and to listen to and recall a nursery rhyme.
