This resource pack allows pupils to find differences and similarities between well-known fairy stories. They look at six scenes and characters from six fairy tales and then put them into the correct storybook. Pupils make a chart that compares characters and incidents in fairy tales. Pupils have the opportunity to make their own fairy tale, adding pictures and text from a large bank of images and props.

Guidelines and activities to present a unit on bridges in years 3-6. In years 3 and 4 the work includes designing and building a bridge to cross a river. Progression is assured in years 5 and 6 by asking the pupils to design a bridge that can open and close and/or can be lit up.

This resource looks at writing a legend. There are 4 parts which look at : Beginnings : What should be included at the start of a legend, setting the scene, looking at words and phrases to describe it. Characters: Looking at the words and phrases to describe an extraordinary character and what features pupils can reproduce for their own character. Problems and Resolutions: Looking at the problems that could be encountered, and how, in an exciting way, these can be resolved.

A Maths support programme based on yearly tests which focus on key objectives. There is a test for pupils in each of the years 2 to 6 and each test has been designed around the key objectives in the previous year’s programme of study. The intention is that the pupils’ performance on the test would serve as a diagnostic tool for identifying areas of the previous year’s work which require further development for certain pupils.

This lesson introduces pupils to shapes and patterns. There are a series of interactive activities, all of which test pupils' ability to place shapes in a particular order. They will also create multi-coloured objects, one side at a time. The lesson can be simulated in the classroom using plastic building blocks.

Based on St. Jeromes Church, Llangwm and Llangwm Methodist Chapel. These interactive resources compare the two types of Christian buildings and worship methods. This means that they can be used as a general comparison tool for pupils across Wales. Each resource is interactive with detailed information and activities. Both have support worksheets for project work. Aspects covered include: vicar/minister, lecterns, communion, clothing, colours, stained glass windows, altars, pulpits, offerings and Sunday school

Learn where animals live and sing 'Old Macdonald.' This resource pack includes activities covering: our homes and where we live, different farm animals and where they live, and what makes a suitable home. Pupils will complete a variety of sorting activities to develop their understanding of where different animals live.

The Farm takes pupils on a virtual journey of a livestock farm. They see pigs, ducks, hens, horses, cows and sheep. There is a small information screen about each animal and where it lives, and then some activities involving counting animals and matching animals. Pupils can also sing along to the Old MacDonald had a farm nursery rhyme. Learning objectives: to recognise and name different sorts of farm animals, to count to nine, and to listen to and recall a nursery rhyme.

This resource acts as a virtual Advent calendar and could be used with the accompanying Word documents as a standalone lesson or for a few minutes each day in December to introduce and explore Christmas traditions around the World, both old and new. This resource covers aspects of the Identity and Culture theme in the ESDGC Common Understanding document for KS2.
