Students can use these worksheets to revise key language change events and theories and complete notes on various aspects of the module.

For the carousel larger quotes were placed around the room on sugar paper and students moved around to annotate these before being given a sheet with all quotes on and annotating them from class notes.

7702 Revision Master class. Pidgin and Creole, Black English. AQA English Language Paper 2. A range of activities to be used over a 1-2 hour masterclass. Also contains a sheet on Tok Pisin for students to look at a specific language in more detail.

A collection of 4 papers and grid sheet for students to find techniques. I then asked students to select two and compare. Part of a sample answer and sheet with sentence openers is also attached,

1-2 hr masterclass to go over essentials around regional variation for Section A of paper 7702. Includes revision of theory (A02) and A01 terminology. Students then have a go at answering the sample questions. Mark schemes on AQA website.

Visual summary of themes in all 15 poems. Can be used as a reference tool or a poster. Useful for MA and LA who struggle with complex charts. Also includes a PP outlining the Unseen Poetry exam.

Introduction to the functions of language according to Halliday and Dore. Students complete grid and transcript annotation selecting functions before producing their own transcript. Answers included.

Lesson (or may last for more) looking at the features of travel writing. Was used with Y12 Edexcel student though could have other uses.

A number of lessons focusing on working out the finer points of these two characters. Includes starters and transcripts.

Paper 2: Writers’ viewpoints and perspectives Looks at planning answers for Paper 2. The students look at the general ideas behind how to answer each question. This can then lead on to them writing full answers. My class get easily overwhelmed and I found that this broke things down for them. The extract is taken from somebody else and not my own, however I created the activity. Section B revision sheet helps students to quickly brainstorm ideas and reminds them of the mark scheme.
