Have a class set of these printed on stiff paper and laminated for a brilliant and fun assessment tool useful time and again when looking at different types of bonding and atomic structure. Either use both sides for a differentiated resource or use just the side you need and leave the other side blank to allow further closed questioning.

Pupils use a comprehensive card sort activity to explain what happened the night f the fire. Pupils have a large number of events and will learn about the problems associated with combustion. Also includes avery simple picture guide to the Controlled assessment for the candles in the beakers. I had these cut out and laminated so the pupils had to arrange their method themselves first for the controlled assessment.

Made for Btec 6.1 but suitable for a range of levels. Includes powerpoint, question sheet and information sheets. First activity was a brainstorm on healthy, unhealthy foods and activities. For the main activity: Text used is challenging for many pupils, do not be surprosed if they struggle for a few minutes before they get started. Put the information sheets around the room, put the pupils into groups and had them try to answer questions and win points for their group.

This worksheet challenges pupils to think about the risks involved with their investigations and to prioritise them as if they were producing a risk assessment. Use these popular webcomics (open source) to spice up your plenary or homework activities, these multifaceted comics are great for stimulating further learning or emphasising a certain point of your lesson. Includes two different activities described and nearly 20 different science related cartoons ranging from KS3 to A-level and beyond. Covering topics as varied as evolution, treating cancer, ice ages, and flowcharts.

Equipment is distributed around the room as per the equipment on each of the activities. Pupils are split into groups and given 5-10 minutes at each station to carry out the experiment as per the instructions and evaluate how good it is at testing the strength if magnet. Pupils will be able to talk about ( in their own words) judgement, reliability, accuracy and wether or not these are fair tests - all whilst reinforcing their experiences with magnets. I print and laminate the sheets and add my own diagrams with marker to suit the equipment available in the particular school/lesson.

Simple stickers for my year 7s, placed in books when pupils are able to explain how to use equipment safely or accurately. Nice skinner technique.
