Consonant blends worksheets:
There are 7 consonant blends worksheets containing 9 blends pictures on each sheet with incomplete words. Students select the correct missing blends from the grid using the picture clues.
The blends are:
bl-, br-, cl-, cr-, dr-, fl-, fr-, gl-, gr-, pl-, pr-, sc-, sk-, sl-, sm-, sn-, sp-, st-, sw-, tr-, and tw-.
Writing activity: Worksheets 1 to 3
Students write simple sentences using each of the beginning blends shown in the grid with pictures. They should check their work making sure they start their sentence with a capital/uppercase letter and finish with a full stop.
Colour by Code - Beginning blend words and pictures with Solution:
The blends in this activity are colour-coded. The consonant blends are: fl, gl, cr, dr, st and tw.
There are two versions of this activity. One image displays words and pictures, and the second image displays only words beginning with the consonant blends. Students should read what colour to colour in the blend on each section of the picture. Once completed, they should see a shamrock in the centre.

Simple Ready-made card This is for some pupils who are reluctant to design a card. See preview pane.
Print off the sheet onto card or good quality paper.
Pupils can decorate and colour in and add their name at the bottom.
Then fold along the line to look like a card.
Second sheet with the heart should be printed on normal paper.
Tell pupils to decorate the sheet with the large heart on and then cut out to stick onto the front of the card.

<strong>• Activity 2</strong> – Children join up the dashes to complete the letters and then color in the word. They can draw things that are usually that color.
<strong>• Activity 3</strong> – Use IT Paint Palette on computer to create a colorful picture or simply a rainbow. Extension: Ask the more able to type/write the colors they have used by copying the word cards.
</strong>• Activity 4 – Color sort.</strong> Children sort the buttons by color and glue them in the correct circles.
<strong>• Activity 5: Hands-on activity:</strong> Alternatively, put out a selection of real buttons for children sort into color groups onto the circles and they can say how they have grouped the buttons.
<strong>• Activity 6: Word cards (upper/lower case letters):</strong>
Lay out blank sugar paper or ordinary paper for children to glue on the color card word, either upper or lower case, and then colour inside the letters.
<strong>Prep:</strong> Cut out a selection of different color pictures for the children and get them to decide which color pictures they should stick around the name of the card color. See preview slide.

This resource contains a set of 26 uppercase letters containing 2D shapes.
Alphabet mats for each letter with pictures beginning with the letter sound.
If you are teaching or have taught uppercase letters and 2D shapes, here are some extra resources for your pupils to colour in and/or cut out and stick into their workbooks or on a separate sheet of paper.
The letters are on whole pages in two sizes - A4 and 8.5 x 11".
Suggested Uses:
Children colour in the shapes and the background and then they can draw things beginning with that letter.
Children colour in the shapes only and then cut around the letter and stick into their workbook.
You could cut out the letter and stick into their workbooks or on a separate sheet of paper with handwriting guidelines for children to practise writing the letter and then colour in.
Extension: after colouring in the letter, children can list the shapes they see and the more able can put them into ABC order.
Laminate the upper case alphabet mats for children to use playdough to model the letters.

This product contains worksheets relating to pairs of matching onset and rime CVC words.
A lovely addition to your phonics lesson to support phonic work.
It consists of 2 sets of 54 worksheets together with picture and word cards in color and black and white.
Teacher’s Notes included for suggested activities.
Students look at the picture and say what it is. Then they color in the letters that make that word. When they have colored in the letter, the children rearrange them to spell the word and write it on the handwriting guide line.
If some students get stuck, I have included word cards with the same pictures which you can put in the middle of the table for the students to find that matching picture that is also on the worksheet. With the help of the card, students can color in the correct letters on the worksheet.

Worksheet 5 - (Differentiated) - (Harder) Students complete sentences using their own adverb of manner.
(Easier) Students can use their own adverbs or use the words in the word box to complete their sentences.
Adverb game:
You can use the flash cards to play an adverb game. Shuffle, say 6 cards, either you or the children choose a verb. Then choose a child to pick a card and they do the action for that verb depending on what the adverb is, e.g. wave happily.
Laminate the displays and flashcards for repeated use.

I have included a short preview of the resources together with worksheets and cut/paste activities.
The cut and paste activities are differentiated - children cut out the water cycle circles and glue them in the correct order using the arrows.
Children needing support: Order 5 water cycle circles with arrows.
Middle ability: Order 6/7 water cycle circles with arrows.
High ability: Can complete each of the blank circles to create a water cycle with arrows.
