This frog themed activity is a great way for your students to work on their colour sorting / color sorting skills. This resource can either be used as a simple colour matching activity where students have to match the same colour frog to the lily pad, or you can use the instruction task cards included. The instruction task cards contain a small instruction (with symbol support) for students to read/listen to and then follow. For example ‘put 3 blue frogs on the green lily pad.’ The task cards are a great way to see if your students are not only able to read the instruction, but to also take meaning and understanding from it and know what to do next. CVC Handwriting Practice Printable Worksheet Activities This resource contains handwriting practice related to CVC words. There is a handwriting worksheet for each CVC word - 6 for each vowel - a,e,i,o,u. Each worksheet gives students the opportunity to overwrite the CVC word in a sentence, overwrite the word, appropriately form the letters in the word, draw a picture of the word and find and circle the first letter of the word.

This resource contains 30 different task cards. There are 6 task cards per vowel - a,e,i,o,u. Each task card contains an image and 3 boxes below for students to either write in or to place magnetic letters/foam letters. I highly recommend cutting each task card out individually and laminating so that they will be stronger and longer lasting. Using magnetic or foam letters is a great way to make an activity more interactive and enjoyable for your students. I recommend purchasing some letters from a local store or on Amazon for this activity.
