In this lesson, students will explore the early development of the Nazi Party from 1920 to 1922, focusing on Adolf Hitler’s rise to power. Activities include a Quiz-Quiz-Trade exercise, discussions on the 25-Point Programme, and collaborative group work to analyse Nazi ideologies. By examining Hitler’s background, his role in the German Worker’s Party, and the formation of the Sturmabteilung (SA), students will better understand the socio-political context leading to the Nazi Party’s emergence and subsequent influence in Germany. 1 lesson from 24 fully resourced lessons on Nazi Germany from 1919 to 1945.
