A revision powerpoint that works through all of the advance information listed for the OCR GCSE Psychology exam summer 2022, for Criminal Psychology topic. Useful either as independent work or to go through as a class.
Learning mats for students to complete - I recommend they complete what they can from memory with one colour, then fill in gaps from their notes in another colour. There are tasks to complete too. completed sheets are attached also.
I do one lesson per sheet, so this is 4 lessons. If yours are more able it will be two sheets a lesson.
This is a multi-part, interactive lesson where students work to solve a crime. They are given a wide range of highly detailed clues, as well as revision questions that cover the entire topic with good depth. They are expected to work in groups to come to a conclusion justified by their psychological knowledge from the topic. Included is;
-An interactive powerpoint, complete with starter, instructions, detailed ‘clues’, click through conclusions
Teacher instructions
A set of over 44 in depth questions to work on in groups, clearly signposted for each section of the forensics topic and linked directly to the clues provided to solve the crime.
This is a great task for any ability level - lower ability will benefit from talking through answers in a group setting and covering a broad range of information, whilst high ability students will be stretched in their critical thinking and putting together information to form conclusions.
This is the FULL topic for C4 AQA GCSE.
Lessons include a combined and a triple version where relevant, all worksheets, tech lists, end of topic test and DIRT lesson and is fully TEEP structured. This has been extremely successful for subject non-specialists and specialists alike to use - it is very broken down and has been great for lower ability sets as well as triples for teaching the dreaded moles!
This is a booklet-based entire topic which works with the Hodder Education Sociology Update Edition textbook.
One or two lessons require the textbook pages (I think just the sociologist profiles, although google will work too if they have chrome book access).
This isn’t an official “topic” in the spec, but I teach it first to give an easy foundation to other topics.
Whole topic for Bio 4 - Organisms, based on Activate KS3 SOW, but good generally. TEEP lessons, tech lists etc included, and an end of unit test and DIRT.
