This is a bundle of comprehensions for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. They are aimed at Years 3/4.
The bundle contains two sets of booklets. There is one set of comprehensions about the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee covering a short history of the Queen’s reign, how the Queen and others are celebrating, ways that children can get involved and green projects.
The second set of comprehensions cover 70 years of British history and the history of the Queen’s reign. There is a section on each decade.
Each topic has three differentiated booklets. The higher ability booklets have three pages of text for the children to read before they complete a range of questions that are aimed at extending more able readers. (18 questions)
The middle and lower ability booklets have the text split into five separate pages with questions on each page. The middle ability has 16 questions and the lower ability contains 15 questions.
There are colour and black & white versions of each booklet. Answers are also included. All of the documents are in the zip files.
Perfect for using around the Platinum Jubilee celebrations or for a topic on Queen Elizabeth II or the history of Britain. I’m looking forward to using these with my Year 3 class!

This is a 5 lesson French unit for beginners, perfect for using with KS2. It teaches children about France and French speaking regions.
The lessons are:
Lesson 1 - French Countryside - The children learn the vocabulary for places in the countryside in French e.g. lavender fields, rivers and mountains.
Lesson 2 - Regions of France - The children learn the vocabulary to describe different regions of France e.g. In the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, there are mountains. The lesson teaches children sentences to describe seven different regions.
Lesson 3 - French Speaking Countries - The children learn the vocabulary to describe the landscape in different French speaking countries e.g. In Guadeloupe there are beaches. The children are taught sentences to describe eight French speaking countries or regions.
Lesson 4 - Paris - The children learn about tourist sites around Paris and how to describe in French places they would like to visit e.g I would like to visit the Eiffel Tower. There is also a bit of information in English about each of the eight places that are mentioned.
Lesson 5 - French Festivals - The children learn about six festivals. There is the French word for each festival, a little bit of information in English and two more French phrases linked to the festival.
