Making a Soluble Salt by Titration Edexcel 9-1

(0)
This lesson covers the basics of titration and how to make sodium chloride (a soluble salt) from a soluble alkali (sodium hydroxide). This lesson is designed for the Edexcel 9-1 spec (combined science). Lesson goes over the how to make the salt, the equipment needed for the titration and the basics on how to carry out a titration. More than one lesson would be needed -- one for theory and one for practical. Details of calculations as required by separate science not covered.

Key Words Metals Edexcel 9-1

(0)
A Power point with a list of 10 key words for the Metals from Edexcel 9-1. The first slide contains the key words and definitions (for students to learn for homework). The other slides are quizzes on the key words - one slide is the list of words and students have to write the definition, another slide provides the definitions and students have to recall the word and the third option provides the definitions and word bank of the key words for low ability groups.

Intermolecular Forces OCR A Level

(0)
A lesson that introduces intermolecular forces. It covers the different types of forces: induced dipole-dipole, permanent dipole-dipole and hydrogen bonding. Lesson goes over which type of molecules have each type of force and what the forces are. Also covers factors that influence strength of induced dipole-dipole interactions. Questions and answers are on the slides for students to work through – no printing required. Designed for the new OCR A Level specification
