This is an engaging card sorting game to review and reinforce the student’s understanding of figurative language. There are 100 cards with examples of figurative language taken from recommended literature books and poems for 5th to 11th graders 5. Students will enjoy discussing and classifying them into seven possible categories: alliteration, hyperboles, idioms, metaphors, onomatopoeia, personification and similes.

I Can Read Simple Sentences NO PREP (Set 1) PDF CVC Words
This NO PREP packet is the ultimate packet for building FLUENCY, CONFIDENCE and REINFORCING children’s understanding of CVC words when practicing simple sentences. The hands-on and engaging activities included in this packet will allow students to practice and master over 500 simple sentences! The simple sentences will work with all the pre-primer sight words and short vowel words (CVC word families). This ensures that students are mastering simple sight words and using their decoding skills to read decodable words rather than simply “guessing” at words.
