9 cards with common hazard symbols on them, and a list of 3 ‘taboo’ words. Students need to describe the symbol on the card with out using any of the words or the name of the symbols and their partner needs to correctly identify the hard symbol

An activity where students gather information about specialised cells from information sheets (I usually place them around the room) and complete notes on a corresponding table. This activity covers the 12 main types of specialised cells that students will come across in the the EDEXCEL Combined science specification but would be suitable to for any exam specification or KS3.
