7 Habits in PE- Printable Signs

The 7 Habits in PE printable display signs used for this product were created by Cap’n Pete adapting Steven R Covey’s habits and principles from his book entitled “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. It was first published in 1989, as a business and self-help book and has sold more than 25 million copies in 38 languages worldwide, and the audio version has sold 1.5 million copies, and remains one of the best-selling nonfiction business books. As a 7 Habits school (Leader in Me), we strive to apply the principles and concepts of the 7 habits in all areas of the school including physical education. We use these printable display signs at our front door bulletin board and/or in our gym hallway to showcase some of the ideals we expect our students to achieve in physical education class.

PE Activities: What's on your Plate- Valentine's Day Fitness Edition

PUMP UP THE VOLUME!!! The following fitness activity, What’s on Your Plate- Valentine’s Day Fitness Edition is a “high energy, fun and organized” PE Valentine-themed activity that can easily be used as a warm up, cool down, or extended as a “stand alone” activity during fitness instruction. Thirty, circular signs with corresponding fitness movements were created to help develop your students' personal fitness during those challenging weeks in the dead of the Winter. Your students will love the movement exercises and the Valentine-related graphics. They will want to repeat the activity many times during the weeks leading up to Valentine's Day. This fitness activity can be used in a gym setting, in a classroom or anywhere that you have some space to have kids perform some stationary exercises and movement skills in small groups. The “What’s on Your Plate- Valentine's Day Fitness Edition” is very easy to set up and can last anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes, depending upon the duration you use per rotational movement set. After printing and laminating the circular exercise and movement “plates”, spread them out on the floor around your room or gym, use UPBEAT music for start and stop cues; then let the students let loose and “move it, move it”!!! It is as simple as that. Don’t forget to demonstrate each movement or better yet, have selected students demonstrate the movements first before you begin the process. NOTE: Some of the graphics and Valentine's Day sayings on the exercise plates are similar to the graphics and sayings in my PE Valentine Exercise Cards and 4 Valentine's Day Activities, however the size of the circular plates are much larger than the exercise cards and both product activities are quite different. The PE Valentine Exercise Cards and Valentine’s Day Activities were designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

12 Days of Fitness- PE and Classroom Christmas Movement Activity

(0)
ON THE FIRST DAY OF FITNESS, MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME.... The following activity “the 12 Days of Fitness” stemmed from an activity that is in my PE Christmas Games and Activities- “Holly Jolly Fun” product. The activity needed some good old “Christmas spice” so I developed some graphic signs that can be placed in a visible area of your gym or classroom for reference as the activity plays out. This fun and exciting Christmas movement activity gives the students a chance to perform a number of health and skill-related fitness exercises that compound on each other, using the style of the “Twelve Days of Christmas” song. The students will love the signs and the movement and want to repeat the activity many times during the weeks leading up to the holiday season. The 12 Days of Fitness- PE and Classroom Movement Activity includes a cover page, 1 comprehensive activity plan, and 12 fitness signs with Christmas-related/fitness graphics and lyrics embedded in the signs.
