Hi, welcome to my shop. I have over 15 years teaching experience and have enjoyed every moment of inspiration and achievement. Have a look at the different resources available, try the free stuff and get some ideas for yourself. I have tested all the resources with classes that I teach and refined them before publishing so that common misconceptions are addressed in the material or explained in the teacher notes. Every step is explained as simply as possible without wasting time on repetition.

Dreamweaver - Creating A Website

Welcome… Note that the illustrations are from Dreamweaver CS6. Creative Cloud is very similar, but will not be exactly the same. This is a set of 3 booklets, an exemplar analysis and a complete website example, that will show students how to create a multipage website. It is loosely based on the Cambridge Nationals iMedia R085 course, although you would need to include a testing table to satisfy those requirements for example. Instead of focusing on a particular examination board, these tutorials will walk students through the usual tasks that often arise. You can obviously teach additional skills or miss out parts that are not relevant to your course. The software illustrated is Dreamweaver CS6, but will also work very similarly in Creative Cloud. Contents: Booklet 1 - Analysis (5 Pages): This takes students through the process of analysing a brief. It looks at Client Requirements, Target Audience, Mind Maps, Mood Boards, Templates and House Styles. There are 5 tasks totalling around 100 minutes of learning exercises and an exemplar document is also included. Booklet 2 - Template (17 Pages): Here students will create a template page following a simple table layout (I find this easier than DIV’s for my students). It shows how to setup the file structure, set up a table, add a banner, rollover images for the main menu and attaching a CSS stylesheet. Booklet 3 - Content (12 Pages): This final section shows how to create the multiple pages from the template and then add content such as images, text, hyperlinks, email links, and forms. The website is included in a ZIP file so you can provide students with as much material and support as you want, or get them to create their own content. If you enjoy the tutorial, please leave a review to help others find it too :) All the best, HackDragn

Basic Computing – Using the Internet

Welcome… This lesson focuses on practical use of the Internet rather than e-safety which is covered by many excellent websites. Students will learn about how personal information can be used against them and the need for strong passwords. There is a look at social media and the online dangers associated with using the Internet. The course then introduces how to search for reliable information and two methods for saving images for use in work. The main task involves searching for information on the Internet and allows students to practice saving and using images. Beginning Python Programming – Dungeon Escape

Welcome… This is designed to be used after the Beginning Python Programming examples. The price helps support the free resources also published and gets me a coffee. A more complex demonstration of how you can build a dungeon/map game. The game utilises a 2D Array to store a map so that directions can be correctly calculated depending on the player position. The progam also uses a global variable for the map, functions, integer floor division and modulus for time calculations. Development of the game could include: Changing the map, altering the size of the map (look out for limiting variables), adding a wandering monster, adding a new message for the starting square, increasing difficulty, adding a new scoring system and lots more that I’m sure you’ll think of. The explanation lines have been commented out so you can simply copy and paste the whole document into IDLE (or similar) and see it working, or print to use as a help guide. 50 Computing Lesson Templates

Welcome… The first question: How long would it take you to organise a lesson plan for a great lesson? Here are 50 of them here covering a wide range of topics in Computing to get you started. Use them to create new lessons or breathe new ideas into your current resources. The Word document you are getting has no protection and has been formatted using Titles, Heading 1, Heading 2, and Body text so you can edit it quickly to match your own style. This opens up the opportunity for people to share without buying it, but I would prefer to give you the option to edit freely and trust you would refer somebody to the resource. Please include this resource as a reference in the final lesson you create in accordance with copyright laws. This set of lesson plans does not rely on a particular technology or presentation style as you will create the final resources. The level of challenge can be adjusted by the amount of help you choose to give. There are suggestions for a range of activities in each lesson and extension tasks along with assessment ideas, but how you implement them is completely up to you. I have included a single lesson plan for ‘Control Structures’ so you can see it in preview as all the plans follow the same structure. You will also find the contents page so you know what topics are included. My intention is that each teacher who uses these plans will come up with unique lessons that suits their own style of delivery and challenges students appropriately. A 104 page DOCX and PDF are provided which will allow you to copy and paste easily. That’s just over 21,000 words with each lesson plan taking up a page and a half. I have taught for many years and developed countless lessons and projects over that time. Many of them required rewriting over time as technology and the curriculum changed. I have used lessons created by others on many occasions, but I often discovered I didn’t have access to the same resources or the level of challenge presented did not suit my students. If you find this resource useful please leave a review to help other teachers discover it too.
