Christmas Menu Maths (money, decimals)
An excellent way to bring some festive cheer to your Maths lessons with a visit to the Christmas Cafe.
Children study the menus (differentiated 3 ways - prices in pence up to 20, prices in pence up to £1, prices in £ using decimals); they then proceed to answer questions on the task cards; alternatively, a teacher can set a budget for the children to spend in the cafe or use fake money and role play. The choice is yours.
Great for practising the four basic operations, place value and decimals.
Included in the resource: 3 differentiated menus, 24 task cards.

Science: Do people with longer leg bones jump further?
A PowerPoint lesson (with comments), a recording sheet and a set of extension cards.
The lesson is part of Year 3/4 Science topic of Animals, including Humans.
It offers children an opportunity to conduct their own investigation by measuring leg bones to see if there is a connection between the length of one's legs and their jump.
Included colourful illustrations, a game, video links, measuring to the nearest cm practice, plenty of opportunities for discussion and an extension activity.
The PowerPoint consists of 17 slides and most of the text is editable. The worksheet/ extension cards are in .pdf format and can't be edited. However, if you want something changing or spotted a mistake, please do not hesitate to contact me (my email address is provided within the resource).

Online Safety / E-Safety Board Game + Bonus
A simple but effective board game to practise the concepts of e-safety with KS2 pupils.
The game contains a number of scenarios, true or false/ general internet safety knowledge questions.

The Online Safety board game can be used at the beginning of the unit on e-safety and then again, at the end - to assess pupils' learning. Encourage your pupils to give full answers/ have a debate with their partner if necessary. The questions test the children's knowledge of cyber bullying, dealing with online strangers and email attachments, as well as questions on how reliable online information can be, and more.
