Model text of 251 words based on George’s Marvellous Medicine with a character focus (mean grandma). Story also presented on ppt/google slides with pictures. Can be used as a model text example to work on character description and/or instructions for making a potion. Then as a format for writing a whole short story.

A short version of Alan’s Big Scary Teeth by Jarvis for use as a Talk 4 Writing model text in Key Stage 1. Emphasis on character description and included adverbs and time connectives too. Also included is the story presented on slides with pictures as a story book. Super fun to teach with actions. Innovations on this have been pirate themed and alien themed. Both produced great results from the children.
