Here is a fun activity which can be completed as a lesson or intervention starter. The aim is to read all the words on the worksheet and make connections between the word on the web. Here is an example of some word connections on the first worksheet. Find- fast, floor and father- all start with ‘f’. Find- mind and kind- all rhyme Find- gold , mind and kind all end with ‘d’ and have 4 letters in. I used these worksheets to help me plan a royal themed party with my class. You can create bunting, design and make a chocolate lolly pop and vote on what game the students would like to play. When creating the lollipop I also encouraged my class to use post-it notes and ipads to find a recipe online and find the list of ingredients. Here is the title that can be used for a you’ve been caught reading display in schools. I like to place this in the middle of the display and then get tons of fun photos of the students reading either in school or at home.
