Multiplying 3 Digit by 1 Digit Number. Worksheets + Teaching Page

The Teaching Page when projected onto a screen or interactive whiteboard allows you to go through the standard algorithm for multiplication showing each step of the process to your class. Every time you press one of the randomising buttons it changes the 3 digit multiplicand. Each button represents a different multiplier from 2 to 9, so you have an endless set of examples to practice with. The two printable Dynamic PDF Worksheets provide an (almost) infinite number of practice questions . 12 questions are laid out on the page. When any of the buttons (at the bottom of the page) is clicked all the 3 digit multiplicand will change. On Worksheet 1 each button represents a different multiplier from 2 to 9 , so for example you can have a whole page of 3 digit numbers multiplied by 4, or 5 etc. On Worksheet 2 each button represents a range of multipliers e.g. 3 to 6. Each row of questions will multiply the 3 digit number by a different number, first row by 3, second row by 4 etc. Answers are generated automatically every time. UK National Curriculum. These worksheets are designed to help your students master the commutative property of multiplication showing that changing the order of the numbers does not change the result. There are 5 core Sets of Worksheets that include the visual support of Arrays that provide a concrete representation of multiplication, helping students grasp the concept before starting the purely numerical work. The worksheets with Arrays are divided up into 5 sets Multiples of 2 Multiples of 3 Multiples of 4 Multiples of 5 A mix of the multiples of 2, 3, 4, and 5 There are 2 further Sets of numerical worksheets aimed to reinforce the concept of commutativity encouraging students to see the pattern of reversing the order of numbers when multiplying but still getting the same answer. Virtually Unlimited Worksheets At the click of a button the arrays are placed in a different order, so if needed you can create different worksheets for classwork, homework, revision, preparing for assessments, end of lesson activity etc. The same with the numerical worksheets - numbers are randomised providing an unlimited source of practive No-Prep Worksheets These are straightforward no-prep worksheets that require no extra work. These Worksheets provide an (almost) unlimited number of practice questions for your students dividing a 4-digit dividend by a 1-digit divisor, either using the standard algorithm or any informal method (such as the short or bus stop) you may teach. Set 1: Division of 4-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers without remainders, generating pages of questions, each with a different divisor - 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 and the last one a mix of 2 to 9 All the divisions will produce an exact answer. Set 2: Division of 4-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers with remainders, generating pages of questions, each with a different divisor - 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 and the last one a mix of 2 to 9 Solutions are generated every time you create a new worksheet. Almost unlimited number of practice questions? From the description above, you can see that you have a minimum of 18 different worksheets, if you wanted your students to work on every divisor from 2 to 9 individually or mixed up. However you may want some students to practice more on one than another, or you may also want to give groups of students individualized worksheets but all with the same divisor i.e. different dividends. So you have potentially an unlimited source of worksheets. How ? … by clicking on any randomiser buttons - all the 4-digit dividends will change - and you have a brand new Worksheet.
