My class developed a love of Winnie the Witch and so I created these plans to fuel their learning. They loved every moment of this topic and we were able to include the use of imperative verbs into our learning. The children loved the idea of creating their own spells and potions. Year 1 class written for but can be used in reception or year 2. Great ideas can be linked to forest school experiences too!

This is a ten day plan for the book The Bear and the Piano. My class really enjoyed the book and I got fantastic writing results. Included in the resource are my plans, worksheets and presentations. They are in word and pdf and notebooks have been converted to power points too. This is planned for a year 2 class but can be adapted to suit other classes.

A unit of lessons based on the traditional tale Jack and the Beanstalk and then follow up lessons based on Jim and the Beanstalk. Total of 14/16 lessons as some lessons take longer than others. Such as the story writing parts.

My class loved this book and we achieved 6 fantastic weeks of learning! They loved the fact that we didn't read the whole book and it took 4 weeks to do this! It opened up a fantastic amount of learning and the book allowed for lots of SPaG work.
